It is with deep pleasure that I extend my warmest aloha to everyone gathered at Puuhale Elementary School to celebrate your Khmer New Year Celebration.

The traditions of your Cambodian culture rest in the hearts of your countrymen that now have made Hawaii their home. We cherish all of Hawaii's multi-ethnic community as they are what define who we are - a community that embraces everyone with respect as different cultures share their traditions. Your spirit of aloha enables this treasured celebration to once again bring back to life the Cambodian culture through music, dance, food and storytelling

We extend our mahalo to all the members of the Cambodian community for organizing this important event and bringing this celebration to life
